Who I am
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege to serve others in a variety of ways: in retail management, where I developed exceptional levels of customer care; marketing, where I honed my ability to reach a targeted audience; as a teacher, where I passed on my passion for learning, and as a stay-at-home dad, which requires exceptional levels of time management and productivity. In 2010, my family began our journey towards financial freedom with Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. First as a student, and currently as a coordinator, my interest in helping guide others to financial success was sparked. This has led me to bring my passion for education and service to Preferred Real Estate Brokers.
Yes, I’m a REALTOR®, yes I am an educator, but first I am a father. As a father of three young children I know your needs and concerns. I can also respect how difficult searching for homes or presenting your home for sale can be with children around. I respect your time, so I will do everything I can to ensure it isn’t wasted. The reason I do what I do is because I get a thrill seeing you win with money.
Trained as an educator, my focus is always on helping you understand all the factors effecting the purchase of what likely will be your largest asset. What communities best serve your needs? Where should you search to find the home features you desire? How much home can you afford? That’s where I come in. First, I will take time to fully understand your needs and desires. Next, I will search for homes that will be a good fit. Then, I will submit some candidates for your review. Only after these steps are we ready to get out and start visiting homes. With more of the work being done on my end, your home search will be efficient. My goal is to make the entire purchasing process as pleasant as possible. Purchasing your next home should be an exciting, positive experience. That’s why I’m happy to serve.
Right now, if you are looking to sell your home, you are thinking: “Now wait a minute, Karlton. With all your focus on helping buyers, what have you got for me?” Actually, my buyer-focused mindset is just what you need to market your home. By focusing on what buyers are looking for, I can position your home in the marketplace to reach prospective buyers. Just as with the buyers, selling a home can involve a lot of education as well. You are about to sell what is likely your largest asset; you need information to achieve your goals. I will take time to help you prepare your home to make it attractive to its ideal audience – which can help you get top dollar. Think like a retailer. A prospective buyer needs to be able to imagine how they will fit in your home. Things like staging the home, making repairs or minor improvements, or even simply painting the walls can be the difference between a home resting on the market and one that’s sold fast. Next, I will advertise your home, show to prospective buyers, negotiate the purchase contract, oversee the inspections, handle all necessary paperwork and supervise the closing. I can take care of everything you need, from start to close. Selling your home can be an emotional experience, let me help those emotions be good ones.
My focus is on families but if that does not apply to you or your home, don’t fret. My education and marketing strategies will work for you too. If you need an agent with specialized skills that I do not have, rest assured. I will make sure to find the expert who will best serve your needs. I thank you for the opportunity to serve as your trusted resource for real estate in the Orlando area.
